Growing up as the only child of one of Jyousei’s most prominent diplomatic envoys, Wakato spent a good portion of his childhood –when he wasn’t being schooled in a prestigious private academy- attending formal parties and cocktails, taking in the complex scheming of politicians hidden underneath the polite small talk as though it was all a game.

This patient observation lay the foundation for the development of his trademark skill, i.e. the ability to immediately adapt to new surroundings through reproduction of cultural and behavioral memes. This enabled him to reach the post of aide to the Jyousei Ambassador at the age of 23, as well as representing his home planet on several occasions, his smooth attitude earning him a good reputation, albeit some enemies in the process as well –with nearly uncanny abilities to get under other people’s skins, it was not long before people started to suspect he was using less.. orthodox means to reach his goals and ensure completion of the deals he was entrusted with.

On one of these trips to a neighboring world, his transport shuttle was hijacked during his stay, and the engines sabotaged so that he ended up drifting in a cluster of asteroids, basically left for dead. He was eventually rescued by a commercial vessel picking up on his distress beacon, and slowly nursed back to health on Midoriyama. Unbeknownst to him though, rumors had been spreading in his absence about his defection to Yamabuki, and upon his return he faced house arrest until he could clear the charges pressed against him.

The ensuing trial was, in all probability, rigged by the same people who thought to take him down, and he was facing ten to twenty in jail when Yamabuki made its move and conquered Jyousei. In the chaos of the takeover, he managed to stow away on a ship till he arrived in TP5, where he claimed the status of refugee from Jyousei, albeit under a different name, not knowing whether his enemies could still reach him in the station or not.

He currently goes by the name Musashi.

Wakato is housed in Blue with Ambassadorial access to Blue, Red, Green and Brown.
